The adventure starts early in Puerto Ayora, where we board our vessel bound for one of the most mysterious and fascinating islands in Galápagos: Floreana Island.
On arriving at Puerto Velasco Ibarra, we begin an unforgettable journey up to Floreana's highlands aboard a traditional open-sided “chiva” bus.
The route leads us to spectacular viewpoints and history-laden sites such as Asilo de la Paz, a place steeped in mystery and stories of the island's first inhabitants. We'll also visit freshwater springs, hidden caves once used by pirates, enchanted scalesia forests and the famous face carved in stone that guards Floreana's legends.
Along the way we may see giant tortoises in their natural surroundings and admire the incredible biodiversity that makes the Enchanted Isles unique.
The adventure continues at the stunning Black Sand Beach and La Lobería, where volcanic sand, crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life set the perfect stage to relax and snorkel.
